Queenstown Bowl

The Queenstown Bowl entertainment complex comprised of a KTV, a bowling alley, and a KFC outlet. At its prime, this was a complex which none other in Singapore could match, causing it to be a popular destination for Queenstown families and also students from secondary schools nearby. It closed in 1999 and redevelopment plans are rumored to be underway. Today, public access is restricted. This is also my first edit using Silver Efex Pro. I love the program! Thanks to my friend Matthew for recommending this marvelous program to me :)

A Ming vase can be well-designed and well-made and is beautiful for that reason alone. I don't think this can be true for photography. Unless there is something a little incomplete and a little strange, it will simply look like a copy of something pretty. We won't take an interest in it. (John Loengard, "Pictures Under Discussion")

To take a photograph is to participate in another person's mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time's relentless melt. (Susan Sontag, "On Photography")

Nice shot. Just browsing the web and found your photo. Mine is at http://www.4thfolio.com/photo_id-164 and we probably stood at the same spot on a different day.
