F 15 - RSAF Open House 2011

Posted by Ziren (Singapore, Singapore) on 2 June 2011 in Business & Industry and Portfolio.

The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Open House 2011 was held from 28-29 May at Payar Lebar airbase. There was an air show which demonstrated how the RSAF would respond to hostile aircrafts infiltrating into Singapore airspace, and not to mention there were displays of aircraft such as this one, which are actually still in service. I took three shots with AEB and processed them in Photomatix, then I did some tone adjustments in Lightroom. Hope you enjoy it!

A Ming vase can be well-designed and well-made and is beautiful for that reason alone. I don't think this can be true for photography. Unless there is something a little incomplete and a little strange, it will simply look like a copy of something pretty. We won't take an interest in it. (John Loengard, "Pictures Under Discussion")

To take a photograph is to participate in another person's mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time's relentless melt. (Susan Sontag, "On Photography")
