The buildings featured in the photo are a new generation of HDB flats built in Singapore. They are shot against a dawn backdrop. These flats boast high storeys, strategic locations, and all if not most feature 'gardens in the sky'. Through my view from International Plaza in Tanjong Pagar, I could almost visualize and picture a new Singapore completely covered with such fine and modern architecture. It seemed so real that it no longer felt as if it were merely a fragment of my imagination. I look forward to witnessing the materialization of this surreal sighting.

I see every photograph as an adventure, as an exploration. The adventure itself excites me and I hope the revelations of this expedition will bring you joy. I wish that my photography will let you perceive this world as a more wonderful place.

I am Ziren Wang, a student from Raffles Institution, Singapore, and I took up photography in January 2009. Apart from my personal photographic pursuits, I seek to contribute to the very community that introduced me to photography - my school. I frequently and delightfully cover events for my school and my community as a member of the photography club.

@London Caller: Yes, the Singapore government has been pondering over the issue of vertical farming - literally "farming vertically". Research efforts have begun to evaluate the efficiency and practicality of such practices in Singapore. Personally I feel that it would be a fabulous idea, considering Singapore's tiny land area, and if she wants to minimize dependence on other countries, vertically farming would play a big role for sure. These flats here are called "The Duxton", if I'm not wrong :D I've been to London, I love the great splendor of food - and the rich culture of the city!
